Our Crowdfunding campaign to help equip the new theatre which will open early next year at the Old Fire Station ends in 12 hours.
This is a wonderful opportunity to be a part of West Norwood’s cultural heritage for years to come by making pledges that will help buy seats, cables, lights and the equipment needed to run the new theatre space. In return there are varying rewards for those that donate. But no matter how small or large the donation, the greatest reward is being a part of something that will be forever remembered in West Norwood’s history.
In the last two weeks we had an amazingly generation donation that equals one third of our campaign target which means we are now just shy of reaching half the pledges needed to get our theatre ready to welcome the local community back into the building.
The Old Fire Station and its theatre has touched many lives, particularly in the past 50 years when SLT took up residency and saved the building from collapsing, or worse, falling into the hands of property developers. The years ahead will be the most exciting yet as the Old Fire Station is set to become one of the foremost cultural centres in South London.
