Arts Festival

The Third Annual West Norwood Arts Festival

For the past 2 years SLT has produced the Fest Norwood arts festival for West Norwood and its community. This year we are thrilled to announce that despite the difficulties facing arts organisations and the wider community the festival will be returning with an all new line-up of events, workshops, theatre and film. This year's core theme is Resilience:

Fest Norwood, 9-15 August, 2020

Each year the SLT Fire Station and its theatre is usually at the heart of this open-access 10 day multi-arts festival, with satellite events taking place all across West Norwood. But this year, with Covid19 and the pandemic, the structure of the festival will be a little different with more online activities taking centre stage to help keep the festival safe.

The core values of the festival are:

• to celebrate heritage
• to promote inclusivity & to bring people together
• to highlight and celebrate West Norwood and its community
• to promote well being through art and culture
• to promote local businesses

Activities and events will include:

• theatre, music, art and dance
• food, poetry and spoken word
• comedy and well being
• cinema, heritage, walks & tours
• children’s activities, workshops and free events
