The Bell Theatre is the South London Theatre's main stage and was first opened in October 1967. It was so named to tie in with our building which is a converted Victorian fire station.
The Bell is a proscenium arch theatre including a full fly loft, with adjoining wings, flat bays and stage manager's room. The auditorium holds 96 people in traditional static theatre seating.
The Bell Theatre provides a loop for the hard of hearing and we can provide disabled access to the theatre itself given advance notice.
Our commitment is for 11 shows per year in each of our two theatre spaces and we cater for a wide range of tastes from historical drama to modern comedy and everything else in between.
