Chaz Doyle, who will be directing the world premiere of Father of Lies by Anna Rubincam to be staged in mid-May, announces his cast this week:
“I am terrifically excited to be directing this show. Knowing and speaking to the author, this was just a short story idea that blossomed into a short script and then into a full-length play. Working with characters who are at first instantly recognisable, but not of everyday life, means that the scope for topics in this piece are full of possibility. I just hope to do it justice!
Auditions are always tough, and even with callbacks I found it hard to choose. I want to thank everyone who auditioned, there were some old faces and some new, and it was great to hear the words spoken out loud for first time. But in the end there could only be four, and I am so happy to be working with them.”
– Chaz Doyle
