Father of Lies: Set Build

Tuesday, 14 May – Saturday, 18 May

If you have ever wondered what goes into making a show, here is a video we put together over the course of a week, documenting the set build of our current production Father of Lies which opened last night (14 May, 2019).

Father of Lies is the first play by local playwright and SLT member Anna Rubincam. It is on this week for a total of 5 performances. Here are some early reviews:

“I can only advise you to book right now. Immediately, now, without delay. It’s a brilliant piece of work – tense, involving and deeply moving. No spoilers, but those actors and that script deserve a full house every night.”

“A truly engaging piece of theatre by Anna Rubincam, wonderfully directed by Charles G. Doyle and such impressive performances. Definitely not one to miss!”

“A unique, affecting thought-provoking play that people will be talked about in the bar afterwards, written by one of our own. Wonderfully directed by Chaz, with yes, another one of THOSE sets, appropriate to the piece. Fabulous performances by the whole cast. Don’t miss this one.”

Tickets for this brand new piece of drama are selling well and we advise booking in advance (tickets can be exchanged should you want to change nights). Read more about the play here or book your tickets here.
