I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and thank all our members, volunteers, performers, makers, builders and organisers for everything they’ve done this year. It’s been a difficult one in so many ways, and it’s so sad for us to be dark at what is usually such a joyous time of the year. But we should also remember the good things that we managed to achieve against all the odds.
Following a fantastic start to our season in January – and some excellent productions, let’s not forget – we’ve kept our theatre going through incredibly challenging times. We’ve had films, musical treats, promenades, readings, streamed performances, created a Barden and even experienced some real, live theatre.
This wonderful community that is SLT will not only survive, but come back stronger than ever. We’ll face challenges in 2021, but I think we can all begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
So I hope you have a relaxing, happy, fun, festive celebration. And here’s to a wonderful new year!
