Lost Monsters

by Laurence Wilson
Director: Siobhán Campbell

Performances:  April 21-25, 2020
First rehearsal: February 23, 2020

An isolated house in a forgotten valley has only the litter and noise from the surrounding motorway above as company. A flash of lightning and a freak car crash leave three runaways stranded and seeking refuge. As society whizzes by all around, they enter a world of dreams and nightmares.

Accents are flexible and the stated ages are playing ages.

Mickey (M, 30): From Liverpool. Track-suited and as fit as a panther. King of the streets since he was 15. Cockroach.

Sian (F, 16): From Scarborough. Goth clothes, eight months pregnant, rebelling against her middle-class background, chalky fingers. Ladybird.

Jonesy (M, 20): From somewhere. On the high end of autistic spectrum and a brain full of buttons and bees. Crane fly.

Richard (M, 45-50): From Yorkshire. Eccentric, recluse; as sharp as a bee sting but none of the bumbling. Trapdoor spider.
