As John Lyne so eloquently reminded us all at the AGM, the SLT 200 Club raises more than £1,000 a year for the theatre, and is a really easy way of not only giving just a little bit more dosh to the theatre, but also being in with a chance of a decent prize, too.  And the more people who join, the better the prizes are, of course!

I've scanned the form so anyone interested can print it off and give it/post it back to John at the theatre.  It's only £12 for a share - so you can buy as many as you like ...

The October draw winners were:

No 67  Alan Walker  £15

No 3   Brian Fretwell  £15

No 28 Alf Vaal  £20*

*We will be asking Simon what he thinks his father would have liked to happen to his winnings.

How many shares does Alan Walker have? And how many more do I have to buy to start winning? frown

Excellent qusestion, Fiona - I've often wondered exactly the same thing, without being quite brave enough to articulate it publically ( till now smiley). Perhaps someone with a mathematical bent could produce a notional interest rate, as I believe they still do with Premium Bonds?

You can work it out fairly easily as, in the bar, there is a list of everyone on the 200 Club list with their numbers next to the names. So just count up how many each person has got. That's if the list is up to date of course. However, there are far less than 200 on it, so it shouldn't take long!

I've got 3 and did actually win £100 last year, so luck does play a large part!! But I'm sure that quantity must help a little!

The winners of the November draw were as follows:

6    Yvonne Walters  £15.00

123 Ann Durrant £15.00

121 Alan Walker £20.00

Congratulations to them.

In answer to some recently asked questions, there are currently 176 members of the 200 Club; Alan Walker owns 30 shares and , in case you can't work it out for yourselves, that means he would have to win more than once a month to make a profit!

The winners of the December Grand Draw were:

34   Pamela Lyne        £100

132 Alan Walker            £20

136 Samantha Golton  £15

85  Margaret Callender £15

I refute any allegations that we are trying to sneak this announcement through when no-one was looking.

What, no Alan Walker? Gadzooks. I nearly fell off my chair.

Re: 200 Club 5 years, 8 months ago #13

It's going top be a tough month in the Walker household. Perhaps we should all have a whip round to tide him over until the next one is drawn?
