Casting Announcement: Around the World in Eighty Days

Mark Ireson would like to thank everyone who came to audition for Around The World In Eighty Days and is delighted to announce the following cast: Mr Phileas Fogg – Naomi Liddle Passepartout – Audrey Lindsay Fix of the Yard – Christopher Vian-Smith The show runs from July 19-23. Rehearsals begin at the end of the May.

West Norwood Feast: The Gardener’s Daughter

This Sunday at the West Norwood Feast, South London Theatre’s Suzy Jacobsen, Káit Feeney, Su McLaughlin and Janet & John Haney from 2.30pm at the Library will be performing a rehearsed reading of The Gardener’s Daughter, by Alfred Tennyson. There is also some poetry slabbing on wet West Norwood clay with artist Emma Fenelon, who will be at the Portico Gallery on Knights Hill from 11am. Exploring The Archive: Shakespeare at SLT

It will come as no surprise that William Shakespeare is South London Theatre’s most performed playwright. As well as nearly 40 fully fledged productions of his plays, SLT has presented about a dozen Shakespearean shows in the form of adaptations, excerpts and parodies. Shakespeare Fundraiser

On the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare’s death, SLT staged an evening of performances at Stanley Halls celebrating the legacy of the great bard. There were scenes from As you Like It, Richard II, Macbeth and Much Ado About Nothing. Audiences were also treated to songs, sonnets, comedy sketches and a bit of irreverent sci-fi.
