Ladies and Gentlemen!!
It is here... The biggest and baddest of jobs that requires your help...
The Date:
Saturday, August 7th 2010, 10am - 5pm
The Place:
South London Theatre
The Plan:
To clean and tidy our theatre...
Ok folks, here's the deal. SLT has needed a proper clear out for a few years now, and now is the time to do it. We have a usable dark month in this year's season, so we're going to clear and tidy everywhere we can. The plan is to hire a stop and load skip for the afternoon, so we can throw away all the clutter we have accumulated.
This is a massive task and we need everyone to pitch in. We'll be starting at 10am with an aim to finish by 5pm.
The main areas we will be tackling are:
Bell Theatre
Prompt Corner
Stage Manager's Room
Tech Room (up & down)
Rehearsal Room
Green Room
Foyer
Fly Loft
The Roof
Refreshments will be provided throughout the day, although anyone wishing to bring cakes and goodies will be greatly welcomed.
At the end of a hard days work, we shall party with such food and wine as the Gods* can provide, with the possibility of a BBQ (weather permitting).
Come one, come all!!
Chaz
* (Louisa and the esteemed Bar Comm.)

If you want an idea of numbers, then put me down. As an unskilled but willing worker ...

Willing and able - count me in...
...not to mention the fact that I have a vested interest in the state of the theatre as The Seagull is the show immediately afterwards!

I shall definitely be there, restoring the Foyer to its former glory! Maybe, I shall even put a new cushion and/or throw on that dowdy wicker chair!

I can be there at some point during the day.... with two expendable teenage sons, if there is hazardous stuff to do....

...all things being equal, I will be able to help for at least some of the day and I will, at the very least, bring cake.
Scout's honour.
