Please.
These forums are beyond dead. They're decomposing.

Why's what?
The death et decay? Well, I dunno. I didn't plan it. There were a time in ye olde days when this forums was a forum, but now its a... well, still a forum, but not very active. The archway needs to be more aware of the exsistence of this place, as it would be nice to actually have most of the theatre's community online. No only that, but it'd make things more practical too. People would be easier to contact etc.
We need to spread the word through the arches: The forums are a way forward!!!
P.S I realise that completely didn't answer your question. Sorry.

More like the SLT then? I think a lot of the SLT folks are online a lot during the day, probably at work. Most of their posts are during the day.I think there are several reasons why some Theatres have used the forums more than others. But in summary I think it's where they have a 'younger' membership who use computers at work, and who have already built up a good sense of 'comraderie' in their Theatre first and use the Forums as an easy way to extend this. Although I am posting here on the Archway forum, I actually come from Hayling Island, and you will see that our forum has been pretty dead for a long time. This is because our society is just about the opposite to my criteria above ... most members are certainly not young, don't work with computers very much and the 'social scene' is fairly non existant. The whole area of communications both between the LTG and theatres and between and within theatres will be discussed both at the LTG Conference in May, and at the Relationship meeting tha we areholding around the country over the next couple of months, so perhaps we'll find out how we can improve the situation.

If you can relay any useful information/tips, please do so John, it'd be greatly appreciated.
As for the age thing, I guess my over-useage of the internet is because I'm 16 and I get bored of revising very quickly. On that note: I'm off again.

Hi John and Olle !
It is a shame we don't have more people on-line, it was quite active on here a while back as Olee said, and it does pick up a bit. We have advertised the forums in our newsletter a few times but it doesn't seem to have a long lasting effect.
With more and more people getting broadband it is becoming easier for people to communicate. Oh well !
Go on Chewbacca, Post, Post, Post
People like you can make this forum Live!
Spread the word at Youth Workshop, make it your aim to get them all signed up!
Then you can work on the rest of the members !

If anyone can succeed Olee can, who can resist him!! Why not make the starting of the new young adults workshop a way of getting people to communicate through the website? ( letter posted through your door today, Olee).
hope everyone will support this new venture, at last something for the 16+...does that include me?

Thanks for the words of encouragement!!!
I got the letter!!! Woo Hooo!! I'm the daddy!!!
No Really, I'm the dad in 'Twisted'. Time for my meanest role ever. Mwhahahaha.
(If playing a dad is the meanest role ever, that really says something about the number of roles I've had, eh?)
And as for the young adult thingy, I have to give up scouts. But oh well. They all smoke and stuff. It's not my brand of beans.
So I'll look forward to Mondays!!!
P.S Is it bizzare that 'She's like the wind' from dirty dancing is playin on my pc?

Hang on a minute! What's all this about "young people" and "at work"? We're supposed to be getting inclusive, not narrower!!
I've visited the forums often, but get depressed at the inanity, the in-jokes and the lack of anything really interesting! - but you need to advertise that a thread is on (via the local newletter? - ed, Archways speaking!!) IF i KNEW THERE WAS SOMETHING WORTH DISCUSSING i'D BE IN THERE, DISCUSSING - BUT IT'S GOTTA BE INTERESTING!
Oh and I'm crumbly, and I don't go to work!! but I'm stilla ctive!
