More short musical entertainment evenings, like Magic Of The Musicals. Maybe with different themes, WarTime, Music Hall.
With or without food.

Afternoon singalongs - wartime, etc with a cuppa tea and a cake.

Evening of monologues...

could be quite simple, gather a list of people who want to read a monologue, a list of people interested in directing the people that want to read the monologue, match up pairs, the pairs individually arrange meetings, and then, the organiser person could collate them into an evening of monologues. - which would pretty much involve putting them all in order.

Could be terribly simple. Despite my confusing account. You'd probably not even have to do a run through, as long as everyone had a running order. - plus would appeal to a real crosssection of theatre members, favourite speeches not yet delivered for those older members, or audition bits/college bits for younger people...

thoughts?

Orrrrrr.........Could hold some form of audition for strong improvisers and put on a "Whose line is it anyway" type performance, complete with interaction from the audience... could be amusing.

love that idea, tilly, something I've wanted to do for years! we could also do some on off impro workshops (charge a small amount) leading up to an evening performance.
Also something like our poets and pints evenings, with musical turns and readings, relax with a drink and do something if you wish to.
