Prompt Corner is the South London Theatre's studio theatre. This space was added some eight years after the theatre opened and opened in February 1975.

Prompt Corner is a flexible theatre space which can be configured in many different ways, including proscenium arch, in the round, thrust and traverse. The space can hold from 30 to 60 people, depending on the production and the seating can be raked or flat.

Prompt Corner has become the area where budding directors can learn their skills without the responsibility of a larger budget, and is also the venue for many of our workshops and training days.

Our commitment is for 11 shows per year in each of our two theatre spaces and we cater for a wide range of tastes from historical drama to modern comedy and everything else in between.
