This year SLT had a new stand at the Lambeth Country Show. A stand that celebrates the newly restored Victorian Fire Station was conceived and built by Chaz Doyle with the help of Anna Rubincam, Carole Ironside, Mat Hill and Bryon Fear.
We found ourselves in the ‘Village Green’ this year, set way back behind the tennis courts in the north-west corner of Brockwell Park where footfall was not as brisk as we have experienced in previous years. However, all the people that stopped by the stand, which was prepared with the help of Naomi Liddle and Jane O’Hanlon, were very interested in the theatre and the events and activities we are now providing for the local community in West Norwood and surrounding areas.
If you were not at the show this year, or simply couldn’t find us, fear not for we will be recreating the stand at next month’s Feast (August 5) where we will be telling everyone about Fest Norwood, the 10-day arts festival which starts next week.
We would be thrilled to see you there!
