In Memoriam: Freda Daffern 1937 – 2021

We are so very sorry to share the sad news that Freda Daffern, a loyal member and mum of our General Secretary, Fiona Daffern, died unexpectedly of a heart attack on 15 January. Freda was originally from Derby, where her love of theatre started as a member of the Derby Players. After marriage to Tony in 1959, they moved to Blackpool for work and brought up their family there. After Tony’s death she moved first to Australia and then to […]
