The theme for the Saturday drama classes this term is ‘spooky stories‘ and Gothic plays. To coincide with this, the Youth groups (13 to 18 year olds) were treated to a guided tour of West Norwood cemetery, run by The Friends of the Cemetery. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon as the youth theatre members were shown around the cemetery and learned about the history and famous people buried there, all while gaining inspiration for exploring the Gothic genre.
SLT Youth Theatre were delighted to host a Q&A session with actor Mark Ebulué. Mark told our Youth Theatre members about his career, what he enjoyed best, how he prepared for roles and how caring for your voice is important for actors. Chaperones wanted for young performers We’re seeking local people who are interested in becoming Chaperones to support children, young people and vulnerable adults when they take part in productions. The role involves attending rehearsals and performances ensuring the safety of those in your care. Chaperones will be paid £12 per hour.
