Keeping SLT Safe

Coronavirus (COVID19)

Update 12/3 from South London Theatre

As you may be aware, the Government has moved the status of the COVID-19 pandemic to the “Delay” phase, and the guidance from the NHS has now changed. You can find the latest guidance here.

The guidance is now to stay at home for 7 days if you have either:
a high temperature
a new continuous cough

This is so important for SLT. We are all theatre people and have often worked through colds and the flu to not let our friends down. We’ve put so much hard work into a show, so it must go on at all costs. This is very different. It is essential that everyone at SLT follows this advice, no matter what you are involved with. If you have symptoms, stay home. Let your director or volunteer team leader know, and we’ll work out the best solution for whatever you were involved with.

We know that this may mean events, performances or whole shows may have to be cancelled. GC is already working on plans to make sure that anything we can’t do now, will be rescheduled when the epidemic has passed.

No-one wants this, but we need to think about the health and wellbeing of all our members and their friends and families.

In the meantime, please don’t forget:
wash your hands (or use a hand sanitizer) when you arrive in the building
sign in (unless you’re on the audience list already) to help us track who is coming into the building

We will continue to update members through LoveAdmin, which manages our membership database. Please make sure your contact details are up to date. We will also place notices on the website and Facebook pages.

Thanks again for your support in this difficult time. If you have any concerns please contact Bex Law, Building Manager or one of the Committee members:
