Youth Theatre Update: Manager Vacancy

12 Jan 26

Teresa Donoghue

After five years at the helm of SLT’s Youth Theatre, Teresa Donoghue has decided to step down from the role after the Youth production of Animal Farm in mid-February.

Teresa has been a fantastic Youth Theatre Manager. Thank you Teresa!

Under her leadership the Youth Theatre has grown from strength to strength; the number of youngsters attending classes has doubled (there’s usually a waiting list), and she has established a strong teaching team of drama professionals.

Teresa’s positive and supportive nature and her focus on ensuring the Youth Theatre is a welcoming and fun place for young people has resulted in our it gaining a much-deserved reputation for enabling youngsters to build confidence, develop their creativity and have fun.

Teresa has also been a real asset to the wider SLT community, seamlessly managing SLT safeguarding and chaperoning to make sure young people can partake safely in SLT shows, and in using her knowledge and local contacts to develop links within the local community.

We’ll miss her very much, and wish her all the best in her future endeavours.

Teresa leaves big boots to fill!  We’re keen to recruit a talented and skilled manager who can rise to the challenge of leading our Youth Theatre on their next chapter.  A link to the job description is below – please do share with anyone you think may be suitable.
