Casting: Till the Stars Come Down

Casting for any show at the SLT is never easy. We always get an amazing array of talent, but what is frustrating about the process is when people book in and take up audition slots and then don't attend. We had 12 no-shows at the in-person auditions, potentially 12 places that other people could have used!

Despite the dirty dozen, we did meet some brilliant people. Thanks to Angie, Sara, Alicia, Sharon, Ellie, Anjeel, Simon and Jarek who came along for the first time. We really hope you had a positive experience and come and audition again. We also saw some existing members but finally after much deliberation settled on the cast below with some returning and some current members. One of the things we wanted to do with the casting was celebrate some of the unsung heroes of our club; the ones who do a lot behind the scenes for us also deserve a chance to shine in the spotlight. Our theatre only survives on people turning up, giving their time and volunteering for some of our many tasks. We hope you come and see them and the show in the new year.
