SLT at Open House Festival 2026
31 Jul 26
Once again our archivist Chris Bennett is leading SLT’s participation in London’s annual Open House Festival, where many historic and interesting buildings across the capital open their doors to the public to take a look behind the scenes12 – 20 September. We’re opening the doors of our wonderful Grade II listed building to visitors on the afternoon of Sunday 20 September.
Free hourly guided tours are on offer where visitors will be able to see rehearsals taking place and a set build in progress. However, the undoubted highlight of each tour will be the views across south London from our original watch tower and where the glass was recently replaced thanks to the kind generosity of one of our members.
Visitors can also just pop in to the foyer between 2pm and 6pm for a chat with volunteers and to take a look at the theatre space. It’s a perfect opportunity to show off our wonderful building and promote our incredibly active theatre!
Tickets for the tours are free but need to be booked through the Open House website. Bookings open here on 19 August (free registration required)
