SLTC Members’ Club 50th Annual General Meeting, 11 May 2024
South London Theatre Members Club 50th Annual General Meeting.
As members have been notified, the 50th Annual General Meeting of the SLTC Members' Club will be held on Saturday 11 May 2024 following the completion of the SLTC Ltd Extraordinary General Meeting starting at 6pm, for the following purposes:
- To approve the minutes of the 49th AGM
- To receive the report of the Bar Committee
- To receive the accounts for the year ended 31 January 2024
- To elect members to the General Committee
- To consider and, if thought fit, pass any resolutions (see below)
Only SLT Members are entitled to attend and vote. A membership check will occur. If you are unable to attend, please contact the Members’ Club Secretary if would like to seek a proxy vote. See further information below on elections and proxies.

Resolutions
All resolutions to change Rules and Bye Laws of the Members' Club should be notified to all members. The closing date for resolutions is 10 May 2024. To submit a resolution please contact the SLTC Members’ Club Secretary using the details on this page.

Proxies
A member entitled to vote may appoint a proxy to attend and vote in his/her place. The proxy must be a full member.
Completed proxy forms must be received by the SLTC Members’ Club Secretary by email or post at least 48 hours before the commencement of the AGM, using the details listed above.

Those who have been a full member of SLT for at least six months are eligible to stand for election or to nominate a candidate for the following roles:
- Chair:
Lead the Members Club General Committee and make sure it is effective in setting, delivering and reviewing the strategy for the organisation and governance of its activities. - Deputy Chair:
Deputising for the Chair, and leading individual projects. - Secretary:
Support the smooth running of the Committee, ensuring that activities and issues are brought forward for discussion and decisions documented - Treasurer:
Oversight and appropriate management of the Club’s finances. - Bar Manager:
Managing the fixtures and fittings required for the Club’s safe and effective operation as a bar. Leading the provision of appropriate stock. - Social Secretary:
Organising an exciting and varied programme of social events for members and their guests. - Volunteer and Training Manager:
Managing the bar volunteering rota and ensuring that volunteers are effectively trained and fully supported. - ... and up to 10 other Committee Members: Supporting effective discussion and decision-making by the Committee; working on projects related to skill sets and interests.

In the event of competition for any role, candidates will be asked to provide a brief verbal explanation of why they wish to stand. Any candidate unable to attend is invited to provide a short written statement (no longer than 300 words) which a member of the current committee will read on their behalf.
