Casting: The Liar

“All the world’s a lie, and all the men and women merely liars.” Dorante is charming, handsome – and a pathological liar. Newly arrived in Paris, his outlandish tales amaze and convince all who hear them, but for each problem his clever lying solves, it creates two new ones. Especially that one with the pomegranates.
More than 50 people with a wealth of comedic talent came out to audition for David Ives’s delightful comedy packed full of delicious wordplay, passionate romance, mistaken identities, a swashbuckling duel and, just for good measure, (of course!) a pair of twins.
Thank you to everyone who came to audition. After a lot of difficult decisions, I am delighted to announce the cast for what will be the UK premiere production.
