Characters:
Alice: Female. 17 years old. Our protagonist.
White Rabbit: Based on Freddie Mercury. Fast and fabulous. Must be a singer.
Cheshire Cat: Max Headroom meets Billy Idol. US accent.
Caterpillar: Possibly a hippie, possibly The Cure. Preferably a singer.
Queen of Hearts: Female. Power suit and shoulder pads. Serving as Grace Jones, Joan Collins or Kate Bush.
King of Hearts: David Bowie. Prince. Michael Jackson. Basically, iconic. Preferably a singer.
Knave of Hearts / Frog Messenger: Prince Charming á la Adam Ant (no lines as Knave, but speaks as Frog).
Mad Hatter: Boy George at his finest. Big hat, big scarf.
March Hare: Female. Very much the Cyndi Lauper vibe here. Manic and bouncy.
Dormouse: Oh so sleepy Dormouse.
Mock Turtle: Has the poet feel of Ian Dury. Preferably a singer.
Gryphon: Punk roadie. Best friends with the Mock Turtle. Bit of a geezer.
Rose / Lily / Violet: 80s mean girls.
PLUS: Dodo, Duck, Lory, Eaglet, Crab, Mouse, Pigeon, Two of Spades, Five of Spades, Six of Spades, Seven of Spades, Eight of Spades, and a group of Clubs.
