Rachel Watson longs for a different life. Her only escape is the perfect couple she watches through the train window every day, happy and in love. Or so it appears. When Rachel learns that the woman she's been secretly watching has disappeared, she finds herself as a suspect in a mystery with bigger revelations than she could ever have anticipated.

All except D.I. Gaskill are of a similar generation. They could be anywhere from late 20s to early 40s - the dynamics between the actors are more important than specific ages. Gaskill can be 30s to 60s.

Kamal Abdic is described by another character as being Asian. The other characters can be of any ethnicity and we encourage anyone who feels they suit the role to apply.

South London Theatre is a members’ organisation producing high quality non-professional shows. You do not have to be a member to audition but if cast you will need to be a member by the time rehearsals begin.

As part of the licence to produce the show we have purchased official copies of the script from the publisher. If cast, you will need to buy one of these from SLT at the standard retail price (no mark-up from us!).

Rehearsals will be on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 8pm and Sunday afternoons at 1pm, with the exception of our first rehearsal on April 30th which is at 10am.

If cast, you will need to be available for our get-in from 12pm on Sunday 2nd July, extra evening rehearsals that week in the run-up to the show. There is a longer Sunday rehearsal on 9th July, dress rehearsal 10th July, performances 11th-15th July and you will also need to help with our get-out at 10am on Sunday 16th July. You will not be required for all rehearsals but we may not be able to cast you if you have significant periods of unavailability.

To audition, please email the director, who will send you a link to our audition form. Once your audition slot is confirmed you will also receive script excerpts.
