Free new stuff!

Building Manager Bex Law has acquired some welcome new additions to our facilities with the help of Event Cycle, a company which acts as a sustainability consultant, but also very helpfully assists charitable and community organisations to benefit from donations of all kinds of useful items which are no longer required, following their original use in events, exhibitions or businesses.

As a charity, SLT has a very small budget, so any donation which enhances our facilities is most welcome!

Bex says “Thank you to Event Cycle for donating some new items to us.

The Green Room and Wardrobe have some new slimline dressing tables (with drawers!), and a few new stools.

The workshop now has a posh steel workbench to finally give us a space to fix broken lights and other small items.

There were also two last-minute additions to the donation, which we’ve made use of in the foyer. One large wooden structure will make a sturdy replacement for the Wardrobe team’s attractive display boards:

and the other piece has been cunningly fashioned into a bench-come-ducting cover behind the raffle table by the skilled carpentry of member and backstage stalwart Chris Purcell. Also, a huge thank-you to Chris for installing some extra shelves in the Green Room cupboard – the hair and makeup store has never looked so good!”
