Funds and Grant Applications

We’ve been busy looking into various funding and grant opportunities to update and improve our wonderful building.

We’ve submitted a proposal to the Theatres Trust Small Grants Fund asking for £7500 to refurbish, restore and rejuvenate the props store, currently accessed through the Fly Loft. This would include moving the door out of the Fly Loft and into the adjacent hallway, which would reduce interruptions to rehearsals or auditions, and improve storage and accessibility.

We’re also in the process of applying for large capital project funding from the Arts Council England to partially clear and stabilise the soil bank from the yard, reconfigure the stairs leading down to the bar, and add an access door out into the yard. This is part of our long-term plan to increase space and accessibility at SLT.
