Mr Tuesday returns

We’re delighted to announce that another SLT original play, Charlotte Benstead’s 2023 Short Mr Tuesday (which she wrote and directed), has been selected for an outing at Clapham’s Bread & Roses pub theatre. (Spider, written and directed by Jude Benning also in 2023 has been programmed by Riverside Studios for its February 2024 Bitesize Festival.)

Mr Tuesday (which was the SLT audience choice as best new writing) is a monologue which originally starred Victoria Waddington as the lonely swimmer who has a brief flirtation at the public baths. She also performed it at Bromley Little Theatre, but on Friday 1 March the play will be directed and performed by a new director and actor as part of the Bread & Roses The Platform new writing night (tickets are available via their website). It’s one of 10 new pieces of writing (there’s a different line-up the following night), and some of us will be going along to the first night to see what a new director and actor do with the piece!
