SLT Annual General Meeting

We are delighted to announce the details for the 57th SLTC AGM, which will be held on Sunday 8 September 2024.

 

This is a really important AGM for us, as we are moving to the new governance structure that was approved at our EGM in May. The main focus will be to elect our brand new Board of Trustees, as well as reviewing where we are and reporting on our last financial year. Details of the meeting are on the website here.

 

Applications for Trustees are now open and will close on 27th August. We will then share the details of everyone who has applied and open the voting in advance of the AGM for those who cannot attend in person. That way, all our members will have a say.

 

Having a strong Board of Trustees who care about our theatre is going to be essential. We are a member-led organisation and are reliant on members putting themselves forward to help run the place. Without the trustees we won’t have a theatre, so please do consider whether you could give something back.

Whilst we would wish as many of you as possible to attend the AGM in person, we will be providing the option of voting on-line for the resolutions. You will also be able to submit a proxy form for someone else to vote on your behalf, details of both options will follow once the nominations are closed.

 

Details of any nominations received will be updated on our nominations page.

 

You may also submit any resolutions that you wish to be considered at either AGM. These will also be published or posted in advance. We already have a request to rename the “Artistic Director” role to “Theatre Director”, following the discussion at the end of our Extraordinary General Meeting, so that resolution will also appear for your vote.

 

Formal notice of the AGM will also be issued to the membership via email.
