Summer Shorts 2024 – Plays and writers

After a great anonymous table read on Monday 6th May, our panel of three considered the scoring provided by the assembled readers and audience and we’re proud to announce our lineup of plays and their writers for the Summer Shorts 2024.
After considering an amazing 47 submitted texts for the 10 spots in the programme which is coming up in August 2024, we’ve finally arrived at an exciting evening plan, spanning monologue & small company, drama & comedy, and contemporary & period, all written to this year’s theme of Storm, by a mixture of SLT Members and submitters from beyond the Fire Station.
The plays you will see in August in order of performance are:

- Moving Furniture by Natalie Gregorian
- Storm The Gates by Tom Boxall
- Thursday by Robert Tavernier
- A Very Gallant Gentleman by Matthew Davies

- Storm Hunters: Stormdate 28.07.05 by Tom Watts
- The Blind Man Plays by James Taverner
- Grace And A Codpiece by David Lydon
