Update from the SLT AGM 2024

I would like to thank everyone who came out on Sunday evening to attend our 57th Annual General Meeting on Sunday 8th September at the SLT Old Fire Station. It was a great turnout and a good opportunity to update everyone with how the theatre is doing and look back to 2023 and what a brilliant year it was for the theatre.

You can read my report and see how SLT is performing in our Annual Report. But a quick summary is that we’re in a really good place, with a packed schedule of productions and a positive financial performance. All proposed resolutions were passed at the meeting – a big thank you to everyone who voted online too – and we have now elected the first of our new Board of Trustees. The following were confirmed as Trustees:

• Simon Gleisner (Theatre Director)
• Gareth Milton (Commercial Director)
• Geraldine McAndrew (Ordinary Director)
• Marysia Skwarka (Ordinary Director)
• Christopher Stooke (Ordinary Director)
• Shree Ziradkar (Ordinary Director)

This means that Gareth and myself will now build our Executive Committee to manage the day-to-day operations of the theatre and our lovely SLT Old Fire Station. You’ll be hearing more from us and the rest of the Trustees soon.

Finally, here’s a look back at 2023 and all the fantastic shows we produced. Wow!
