SLT Box Office Update

We wanted to bring you up to date with some welcome changes to our TicketSource booking system, and remind you of our box office processes.  

Early Bird tickets

Don’t forget that you can benefit from our Early Bird discount as long as you book 10 days or more in advance of a show. Find out more here.

Wednesday Flexible Pricing

We’re also still offering flexible pricing on Wednesday (where you pay what you can afford). Our minimum price is £5.00; just adjust the price of the ticket when you select the ticket type.

Book tickets by phone

Recently, TicketSource introduced a telephone box office service. We know not everyone wants to book online, so from now on if you prefer, you’ll be able to book by phone on 0333 666 3366. You’ll still pay a booking fee, but this is the same rate as if you booked online. You don’t have to produce a ticket when you arrive at the theatre – simply report in to the Box Office so that we can check you off the front of house report for the night.

The Waiting List

If a show is sold out, you’re now able to join a waiting list. The ‘buy tickets’ button will change to ‘join the waiting list’ when the last ticket is sold. This means that if other bookings are cancelled and tickets become available again, people on the waiting list will be notified by email.  You’ll need to act fast by clicking the link in the email, as the first person on the list to respond will get the tickets.

Returns

If you’re still unsuccessful via the waiting list and you live locally, it’s often worth coming in on the night at least 30 minutes before the show to see if there are any returns. These do often occur, though of course we can’t guarantee you’ll strike lucky. 

 

If you’re an SLT member, our Members’ Facebook page can be useful if you want to put a shout out for a spare ticket, or want to offer yours up if you can no longer use it. Just be aware though, that Box Office won’t get involved in any swaps or selling on – that’ll be between you and the other person to settle.

Cancellations/exchanges

If you’ve booked to see a show and can’t make it, please let us know as soon as you can so that we can release your ticket back on to the system, or offer you an exchange for another night or another show. Just email boxoffice@southlondontheatre.co.uk, and if you want an exchange, let us know what you’d like.

 

Sorry, but in most circumstances we won’t refund your ticket and if we do, that will still be minus your TicketSource booking fee. Of course, in the unlikely event that we have to cancel a show, you’ll get a full refund.

Comp tickets

If you’ve joined as a new full member of SLT, in your first year you have two free tickets you can use for a show of your choice (one freebie if you sign up as a Supporter). You can either bring a guest along to one show, or use them for two different shows by yourself.

 

Please be aware though that you can’t give them to anyone else to use, just as you can’t use your SLT member discount to buy tickets for other people, only yourself.

Contact

Our system enables us to contact our customers who’ve booked for a particular show via email if there’s anything we need to let them know about, such as a cancelled show, disruptive road works and so on. We’ll only use your information if we need to get in touch – we don’t use it for marketing purposes.

We’re sure you understand though, that everyone who works on box office is a volunteer and while we’ll do our best to come back to you as soon as possible, it may not be an instant response.
